Professor Kernaghan Honoured with the Order of Canada
Professor Emeritus Ken Kernaghan, a longstanding and recently retired member of the Brock Political Science Department, has been awarded one of Canada’s highest civilian honours: appointment to the Order of Canada. The award was officially announced in early January and was made in recognition of “his contributions to public administration as one of Canada’s foremost scholars in the areas of ethics and accountability for more than 30 years.” Professor Kernaghan becomes the first Brock faculty member to win appointment to the Order of Canada, an indication of how rare and special such an award truly is. The entire department wishes to express its hearty congratulations to Professor Kernaghan and thanks him for his many years of outstanding service.
