Advent Lessons and Carols (06/12/09)
This treasured annual event takes place this year on the Second Sunday in Advent, 6 December, at 4:00pm. The Seminary Choir will be joined by Resurrection Lutheran Choir, under the direction of Dianne Humann, with instrumental music by harp, violin, and organ. As members of the seminary community read lessons from the prophets that prepare for Christ's coming, the congregation and choirs sing beloved Advent hymns and carols. The service culminates with the announcement of the Christmas Gospel, by which the students anticipate Christmas just before leaving for the holidays. We heartily welcome you to join us for this service of Word, music, prayer, and praise.

Thanksgiving Appeal (01/10/09)
As our day of national Thanksgiving approaches, and we remember the gifts of God through bountiful harvests, please remember also the gift of a pastor. In the name of Christ he gives out God's gifts, cares for you, and prays with you. Our founding professor, Dr Roger Humann, notes many reasons for us to give thanks in an appeal letter to you. If you are moved to give to the seminary immediately, you may do so through Canada Helps.
Pastor's Desk Diary 2010
With generous financial support from FaithLife Financial, Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines, is pleased to offer again this year the enormously useful Pastor's Desk Diary. The diary contains readings for the three-year lectionaries used by Lutheran Church-Canada, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod; as well as the LSB one-year readings for each Sunday and major festivals.
The diary is available free to rostered Lutheran church workers in Canada through the support of FaithLife. To receive yours, send your name and address to concordiarec@brocku.ca, or phone us at 905-688-2362. Shipping should begin in October.
